Why didn't I get an answer to my checked baggage?


Be sure to check your Spam and Junk folder in your inbox. Baggage is answered in the order it's received. If you did not receive a response via email within two weeks after you checked your bag, please re-check the bag. Be sure to enter in a valid email address. Why do you need my email address when I check a bag?


Your privacy is our top concern, but we need your email address to deliver the response to your checked baggage. We don't use your email for any other means. If you're still concerned, try using a disposable mail service like mailinator.com.


Does the carrier of my bag ever see my email address?


No. The carrier of your bag does not see your email address. They only see the contents of the bag.


Do you share any of my personal information?


No. We will not share any of your personal information with anyone. The content of the bags will not be published in any way.


What should I do if I received an abusive response from a carrier?


We're sincerely sorry if your bag wasn't answered with proper care! If you received an abusive response from a carrier please re-check the bag. If you do not wish to re-check the bag but would like to reach out to us to discuss the matter further, we'd be happy to help. What should I do if I see a checked bag that is spam or abusive on the Carry It page?


If you see an abusive bag on the Carry It page please click the report abuse button. Our team will review the bag. In cases of reporting abuse, privacy is upheld and users who report abuse are not identified.

What if I reported a bag by mistake?


Our team reviews each reported bag. If the bag doesn't pose a threat we'll send it back into the Carry It rotation to be carried by another user.


What happens to the bag on the Carry It page when I click "Changed my mind, go back Home"?


The bag will be carried by another user and you'll head back to the homepage. If you would like to carry another bag, feel free to click the Carry It button to return to the Carry It page.


Why can't I check or carry a bag?


Check to see if you have a valid email on the Check It page and if you're carrying a bag on the Carry It page make sure you have a message in the box that says "Write back to the checked bag here". If the error persists, take a screenshot and send it along to us via email at info@emotionalbaggagecheck.com


If I sign up for the newsletter or take the survey, will that jeopardize my anonymity when checking and carrying bags?


No. Signing up for the newsletter or taking the survey is a separate entity. You will still remain completely anonymous on the site whether or not you sign up for the newsletter or take the survey.


Is there any way to get in touch with the person who carried or checked a bag?


Unfortunately, no. We can't connect you to a checker or carrier because it would put the user's anonymity at risk. However, we are always open to suggestions.
